The Scuba Matt website has a three-part purpose:

 One, to deliver adventure news and stories, especially news that involves diving and the ocean environment.

Two, to showcase my work as a writer, photographer, and broadcast journalist.  

Three, to serve as a bridge for future, web-based news sites with more and better content.

I created Scuba Matt Dot Com because…..

Working as a full-time Master Scuba Diver trainer in Honolulu, HI, I wanted a website to share my thoughts with diving students, family, and friends.  

Teaching a PADI Rescue Diver Class In Honolulu, HI

I had just moved from the Florida Keys where I wrote a weekly, scuba diving column for the Keys Weekly Newspapers.

 Since I no longer worked for a newspaper, I thought

“Why can’t I write about diving, ocean adventures, and interesting news on my own?”
